Quest #3 Completed!

In Quest #2, Spice set out with Ken and Zinc to spread the bombshell message that CyberBrokers are AI as far and wide across the Paradigm as possible. To do this, they decided to split up and try different ways to get the message out. This caught the attention of the mysterious ShaDAO organization who locked Spice and her command out of TPL entirely.

Spice had to get access to the P.O.S.T. Box to get a message to Zinc. Then, CyberBrokers had to work with Ken and Zinc to try to get Spice and her command back into TPL.

CyberBrokers took the role of Mission Command during Ken and Zinc’s heroic infiltration of a ShaDAO building. Decisions made by players led to a path where only Zinc escaped and Ken was captured by ShaDAO.

Quest Puzzle Solutions

Summary

Quest #3 was spread over the week coinciding with NFT NYC. Participants worked together to help Spice get a message to her friends in TPL that she and her command were locked out. They visited the Ethereal Node to collect information from a mysterious informant. They also ran mission control for Ken and Zinc while they infiltrated a ShaDAO warehouse to trigger a failsafe override to get Spice and her command back in.

During the Quest, participants did the following:

• Collected frequency signals from interacting with a Twitter post that led to an imgur link indicating that a P.O.S.T. Box was in New York City.

• Solved a physical interactive P.O.S.T. Box puzzle at the Nifty Gateway x CyberBrokers party.

• Collected 64 strings from the Power Eleven OS terminal and eventually discovered that they were coordinates to build three 3D QR codes leading to the Ethereal Node in CryptoVoxels.

• Visited the Ethereal Node, combining information from a napkin and the dance floor, to discover five ShaDAO dossier files.

• Ran Mission Control for Ken and Zinc as they infiltrated the ShaDAO warehouse.

Puzzle Walkthrough

Quest #3 was designed as a multi-platform and multi-world experience with players venturing out into the real world and virtual world to complete certain puzzles.  The Quest begins with Spice being booted from TPL and remembering about an old communication device, called a P.O.S.T., that would allow her to send a short message to someone within TPL even without a rig.

Triangulate the P.O.S.T. Location

The first puzzle begins with a tweet from Spice asking for help to boost the signal to triangulate the location of the P.O.S.T.

Retweeting this post helped boost the signal, and after 10 retweets, the first signal was locked. 

Players can notice the suspicious spelling of MHertz to realize the RT is capitalized to hint that more retweets of the original tweet are needed to continue boosting the signal. Hitting retweet thresholds of 25, 50, 75, 100, and 125 retweets unlocked the remaining 5 signal-locked images shown below.

Each subsequent ring provided grew smaller from the previous. Layering all 6 rings on top of each other and reading the letter underneath the point where each ring intersects another reveals the string “imgurcomEa8aoNe” telling you to go to https://imgur.com/Ea8aoNe

The imgur link reveals that the location of the P.O.S.T. is at the CyberBrokers x Nifty Gateway event happening the next day at NFT.NYC.

The P.O.S.T. Box

This stage of the puzzle led players to a real-life P.O.S.T. box that could be found within the CyberBrokers event.

Before players arrived at the event, a new message was sent by Spice.

This message reveals a key piece of information: Ken’s commlink address is 0x47515-60197, which will be important soon. Upon arrival at the CyberBokers event, players can locate the P.O.S.T. box nearby.

The P.O.S.T. box requires players to enter the commlink of their intended recipient (Ken as hinted earlier), set the correct parameters for the signal based on the user guide, and build a custom message to send to be successful.

To start, players locate the instruction manual for the P.O.S.T.

They power the unit on via the supplied key and begin by entering Ken’s commlink address (0x47515-60197) in the number dial switches in the upper right.  Then they must decipher the proper settings needed to have a successful transmission.

Players also needed to determine the correct message the Spice should send to the TPL.  By using the included blacklight, players could scan the conversion glossary to identify certain words being numbered.

Finding all 8 words in the glossary and putting them in order created the phrase:

Players could then transmit this message along with the correct setting identified above and the correct commlink address to get a message success upon transmission.

A Mysterious Stranger

Spice has successfully been able to transmit a message to TPL, but it appears a mysterious figure has reached out wanting to help and has re-enabled the power-eleven terminal.

Players, upon logging into https://os.power-eleven.net/ and checking their commlink messages are told to locate a ReadMe file that is located on the desktop.

This ReadMe file contains a Base64 encoded string that is unique to the player's wallet that is linked based on the first two characters of their wallet address (0x00-0xFF). There are 64 unique b64 strings to collect with unique data in each.

Collecting all payloads will give 404 pieces of data in the format number.number.number. These pieces of data only contain the numbers 1-25 in each position and are 3D coordinates.  Plotting all the coordinates and rotating the cube will reveal 3 unique QR codes when viewed from different sides (check it out in 3D space here).

The Ethereal Node

Players have now discovered they need to travel to The Ethereal Node located in Cryptovoxels to meet this mysterious figure and see what information they have.

Upon arriving at The Ethereal Node, players can talk to the bartender to get more information.

The bartender will tell you that a message was left for you with Squeakers. Squeakers is a specific trait found within the CyberBrokers collection that gives you a rat companion on your shoulder if you have one. Players need to locate Squeakers within the CV plot which can be found right around the corner of the bar crawling out from a hole every 1-2 minutes. When clicked, he reveals a napkin with a seemingly innocent note on it.

P.S. The dance floor was pretty lit, maybe show

off those moves of yours

The writer hints that players should hit up the dance floor as it's pretty lit, which is a hint that the lights on the dance floor would change on occasion. Waiting for the floor change reveals certain tiles turning white. These white squares are actually for a grille cipher that uses the napkin note.  Writing the napkin message onto the dance floor and reading the letters in the white squares reveals an important message.

“Not safe left file hidden in ad buddy under shadao”

Going to the nearby AdBuddy and clicking on all 5 links on the TVs take you to the 5 websites from Quest #1. Appending “/shadao” to the end of each reveals the mysterious person who brought you here goes by the name The Moderator and can buy you a window of time to get Spice back into TPL along with some documents about the history of ShaDAO and the influence they have.

Raid on ShaDAO Warehouse

The final part of Quest 3 was a real-time Choose Your Own Adventure-style mission that players go on in an attempt to destroy the Failsafe Alpha signal at a guarded ShaDAO warehouse to get Spice back in. Decisions made by players during this mission ultimately impacted the narrative of the story, including successfully destroying the Failsafe Alpha signal, but unfortunately ending up on a path that led to the capture of Ken while trying to escape.  A full breakdown of the decisions that were presented to players during the mission and the results from the votes are shared below.

All CyberBrokers and Lupis Mech Arm holders will be eligible to mint a certain amount of Mecha Heads from a pool of five different types of Heads.

On June 24th after the conclusion of Quest #3, we took a snapshot of all CyberBrokers and Lupis Mech Arm holders.

• To be eligible for participation rewards, you had to connect to the Power Eleven OS website and verify a tweet via the Guest Book application.

• All Lupis Mech Arms will be able to claim a Lupis Mecha Head if they earned participation rewards. If the wallet did not participate, they will be able to claim an Enforcer Mech Head instead.

• Any wallet that contains at least one CyberBrokers and is eligible for participation rewards is eligible under the Participation Rewards table.

• Any wallet that held a CyberBrokers at the Quest's conclusion that did not participate in the Quest will be eligible under the Standard Rewards table.

The number of claims and the rarity of the claims you will be eligible to claim depends on if you participated and how many CyberBrokers your wallet holds.

Examples:

• If you hold 6 CyberBrokers, you will be able to claim the rewards indicated on line 6.

• If you own 24 CyberBrokers, you will be eligible for line 10 rewards 2x and line 4 rewards.

Build a Mech!

Mechs are one of the top ways to navigate TPL’s hectic airways and protect your Broker from being d’mezzed. You can build a mech from scratch by collecting salvageable parts over time to be assembled at the end of Season 1. Be sure to follow future Quests for the opportunity to earn the highest quality collector model parts.

Your custom-built mech will be used to aid you in solving future Quests. Remember, mechs need operators and can not be used by themselves.
